現在、Cheryl and John Neerhout, Jr., Distinguished Professor。
最適制御、適応制御、ディジタル制御、信号処理、モーション制御、さらにロボット、ハードディスクドライブ、自動車、メカトロニックシステムなどの制御問題に関する研究に従事。
ASME （米国機械学会） Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement and Control, J-DSMCの編集長 (1988-93), the IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronicsの編集長 (1997-99) 、American Automatic Control Council （AACC） の会長(1998-99)などを歴任。
2002年から2004年まで米国国立科学財団（National Science Foundation）のDynamic Systems and Control Programのプログラムディレクター。
1997年ASMEよりCharles Russ Richards Memorial Award, 2002年ASMEよりRufus Oldenburger Medal、2006AACCよりJohn R. Ragazzini賞を受賞。ASME, IEEE, SME フェロー、計測自動制御学会、日本機械学会などの会員。 |
